Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher in Des Moines to perform form setting, placement and finishing of concrete structures per drawings. You will erect forms for floors, walls, and structures, and assist with placing reinforcing steel when needed.

Candidates should read and interpret blueprints, work safely, communicate with the foreman, and maintain equipment in good condition. This on-site role requires attention to detail and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, etc.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations; may aid in placing reinforcing steel.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms at correct elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms using various materials and forming systems.
• Verify accuracy of structures with level, plumb bob, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for high structures.
• Communicate safety concerns and material needs to Foreman/PM.
• Ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
