Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform form-building, placement, and finishing of concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per drawings.

You will read prints, build and assemble wood or metal forms, set forms to elevations, assist with reinforcing, erect scaffolding, signal pour deliveries, and strictly follow safety policies while observing quality standards. Collaborating with the crew and reporting issues to the foreman as needed.

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Signal concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Observe and comply with safety policies.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
