Job summary

VetJobs is seeking an experienced bus driver to tour the United States, from California to Michigan to Florida and beyond. You will drive 40-foot buses retrofitted as mobile computer labs to community events, set up tech, and assist clients with the onboard system.

Requirements include a High School/GED, a Class A or B CDL, and 5 years of experience driving large trucks. Living on the road for months at a time, hotel and per diem provided, friendly demeanor strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience driving large trucks.
• High School or GED required.
• Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Drive the bus or Rig to community events across the U.S.
• Set up computers and verify internet connectivity on site.
• Familiarize clients with the bus technology and features.
• Be on call for the rest of the event; assist on site as needed.
• Troubleshoot bus technology; access 24/7 support for help.

We are looking for an experienced bus driver who wants to get paid for living on the road, touring the U.S! From California, to Michigan, to Florida and so many places in between.

Additional Information

We have 2 different vehicles, our buses are 40 foot city buses that have been retrofitted to be mobile computer labs. Our Rig is just that- a Freightliner with a mobile classroom bolted to the chassis.

You should be willing to drive the bus or Rig to various community events throughout the U.S. A typical day includes driving to the scheduled community event, turning the computers on, confirming internet connectivity and helping our clients become familiar with the bus. For the rest of the event, you are pretty much on call. You do need to stay onsite to help out if needed and always offer a smiling face and positive attitude to both clients and visitors.

If there are issues with technology on the bus, it is expected that you will troubleshoot. We will train you on the technology and you will have computer and mechanical support available via phone - 24/7.
