Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for their Mobile Clinic in Minneapolis. This grant-funded position offers opportunities for tuition reimbursement and advancement. You will be involved in various clinical tasks and assist in patient care under the guidance of physicians.

Qualifications include a diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant school and a valid driver’s license. Experience with electronic health records is preferred. The position requires a commitment to providing quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license for operating the mobile clinic.
• Credentialed or Registered through AAMA, AMT, or NHA within thirteen months of employment.
• Must have Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned clinical tasks under physician's direction.
• Assist with medical examinations and procedures.
• Perform specimen collection including blood draws.
• Chart vital signs and enter patient information.
• Perform basic patient care activities.

Skills

Ability to perform specialized clinical tasks

Knowledge of medical terminology

Ability to effectively interview patients

Ability to work cohesively with a diverse workforce

Basic computer knowledge

Education

Diploma or Associate’s Degree from accredited Medical Assistant school
