Job summary

David Raines Community Health Centers is hiring a Mobile Unit Driver to support patient access and transportation services in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. Responsibilities include driving mobile units to school sites, pre/post trip inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting patients with intake, scheduling and insurance verification.

The role requires a valid LA driver's license, 2–3 years of driving heavy vehicles, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in customer service and/or working as a patient representative.
• At least two years of healthcare experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• 2–3 years of experience driving and maintaining medium to heavy trucks, mobile units, or RVs.
• No DUI convictions and not more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport medical staff to designated areas as per schedule.
• Complete daily log for the Mobile Unit and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and ensure safety of parked vehicles.
• Assist patients with intake, registration, and insurance-related needs.
• Provide information on funding eligibility and patient access processes.
• Perform clerical duties to support daily unit operations.
