Mobile Building Engineer
This position supports the Assistant and/or Chief Engineer and Sr. Facilities Manager in the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment on behalf of the client. The Engineer will perform routine operation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Responsibilities include maintaining energy-efficient and safe equipment operation, minimizing downtime, performing inspections, and adhering to company policies and safety standards.
High School Diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum four years of relevant experience in building engineering, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and system maintenance. Valid driver’s license and appropriate trade licenses required. EPA Section 608 certification is necessary.
Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, and building systems operations. Knowledge of energy management systems and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in basic computing and familiarity with mobile devices and conferencing tools.
Requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work in various environments, including noisy, hot, or chemically hazardous areas. Must be able to wear PPE and support travel between sites.
Work hours typically align with business hours; may include shift work, overtime, and emergency response. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
