Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service is seeking a Boiler Controls Technician – Mobile Steam Department to join our Dallas, TX team. The technician will wire, fire, and test boilers in shop and field settings, ensuring readiness of customer equipment and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing control systems, and starting rental boilers in the field. The role requires PLC experience, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to train other staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum three years of boiler experience with PLCs, transformers, transmitters and other boiler controls.

Responsibilities

• Wire all controls and motors for watertube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Rebuild control valves and regulators.
• Build and test control panels using wiring schematics and layouts.
• Build and test fuel skids using wiring schematics and layouts.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Troubleshoot, fire, and set combustion on boilers including superheaters and economizers.
• Train other employees on boiler operation and controls.
• Maintain tools and inventory.
