Job summary

Vern Eide Ford in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Mobile Service Technician for a full-time role that operates as a “shop on wheels” serving customers in their own locations around Mitchell. You will work in a Ford Transit 350 van, providing on-site recalls, diagnostics, and light maintenance, with a focus on exceptional customer service.

The position requires a high school diploma, 3 years of automotive technician experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Must be able to drive a Ford Transit 350 van.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service face-to-face with service customers.
• Clearly communicate with customers and coworkers; document repairs performed.
• Perform recalls, basic diagnostics, and light maintenance on-site on customer vehicles.
• Assist customers with moving more repairs to the dealership when appropriate.
