Job summary

Wrench, Inc. is seeking Mobile Technicians to repair and maintain vehicles on a contractor (1099) basis in Charleston, SC. You will diagnose, fix, and prepare vehicles for customers and partners, performing engine work, oil changes, brakes, and electrical repairs as needed.

As a contractor you set your own schedule, negotiate rates, accept only the jobs you want, and choose your work area. A strong toolset, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to customer locations are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of automotive mechanic experience.
• Master Tech or Medium Duty experience is a plus.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform engine, transmission, brakes and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to prepare them for customers.
• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs.
• Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to customers.
