Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building relationships with customers, uncovering needs, and educating them on device and service solutions. This is a learning role, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert after completing training.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling, providing a world-class experience by assisting customers online, in-store, and via Customer Care. Explore needs, demonstrate technology, and offer personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices, with integrity and compassion.
  2. Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools to demonstrate network coverage, plan benefits, and complete training on in-store systems and processes. Continuously learn about wireless innovations and product offerings.
  3. Relationship Building: Collaborate with team members across channels to ensure a seamless customer experience, support small business leads, and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun connecting with people (Required)
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with peers and leaders (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for hourly pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, they can earn an incentive target of $18,000/year, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees earn a guaranteed $20/hour including base pay and incentives, and are eligible for annual stock grants.
