Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building meaningful connections with customers, uncovering their needs, and educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, where new associates work with their team to develop skills and prepare for promotion to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales Skills: Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience, and fostering loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers with their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
  • Side-by-side selling for personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching needs with integrity, composure, and compassion.
  • Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
    • Coverage and network speed in the customer’s area.
    • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
    • Complete training on store experience, new skills, processes, and systems.
    • Maximize shift time by learning about innovations.
  • Relationship Building and Collaboration: Partner with T-Mobile employees across channels to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
    Education and Work Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
    • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred (Required)
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun! (Required)
    • Competitive drive with success in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)
    • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders.
    • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals. (Required)

    Hourly Pay: $17.50
    During training, associates are eligible for incentive pay. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an annual incentive target of $18,000/year, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20/hour including incentives. Employees are also eligible for an annual stock grant.
