Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously evolving with technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience. They focus on building strong connections with customers, uncovering needs, and educating them about device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in serving and selling while providing a world-class customer experience and building loyalty.
  • Assist customers in continuing their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Explore customer needs and demonstrate the latest technology hands-on.
  • Sell personalized solutions beyond devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approach customer interactions with integrity, compassion, and composure.
  • Utilize digital tools to demonstrate coverage, plans, and services.
  • Complete training on in-store experience, systems, and resources.
  • Engage in continuous learning about wireless innovations.
  • Partner with other T-Mobile employees to ensure a seamless customer experience and support business leads.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer service and having fun connecting with customers (Required)
  • Driven to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willing to collaborate with peers and leadership (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals (Required)

  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentives. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, they can earn an annual incentive target of $18,000/year, with guaranteed earnings of $20/hour including incentives. All employees are eligible for annual stock grants.
