Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They connect deeply with customers, building relationships and understanding their needs to recommend device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement and Sales:
    • Assist customers in their shopping journey, whether online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Explore customer needs, demonstrate technology, and sell personalized solutions including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approach service and sales with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
  2. Digital Tools and Training:
    • Use digital tools for interactions and onboarding, demonstrating coverage and plans.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, systems, and product knowledge.
    • Proactively learn about wireless innovations during shifts.
  3. Team Collaboration:
    • Partner with other T-Mobile employees across channels to enhance customer experience.
    • Identify and refer small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer-focused with enthusiasm and a fun, authentic approach. (Required)
  • Strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)
  • Willingness to collaborate and learn from peers and leaders. (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals. (Required)

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Additional Details

Travel: No
DOT Regulated: No
Hourly Pay: $17.50/hr + $5.00/hr training pay. Post-training promotion to Mobile Expert includes an incentive target of $18,000/year. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives. All employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
