Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who generate energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology and customer needs are constantly evolving. They focus on building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and educating them about device and service solutions. This is a learning role, where new associates develop skills to advance to the Mobile Expert position. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience, and fostering loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers with their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Demonstrating the latest technology and exploring individual customer needs.
  • Personalizing solutions beyond basic devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Handling service and sales needs with professionalism and compassion.
  • Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to:
    • Show coverage and network quality in the customer’s area.
    • Explain T-Mobile plans and services to enhance customer experience.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, skills, systems, and resources.
    • Maximize shift time by learning about innovations and system updates.
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with other T-Mobile employees across channels to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
    Education and Work Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 6 months of customer service or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun connecting with people (Required)
    • Competitive drive and success in fast-paced sales environments (Required)
    • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders (Required)
    • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required)

    • At least 18 years old

    Hourly Pay: $17.50 + $5.00 training pay. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert with potential incentives. All employees guaranteed $20/hour including incentives. Eligible for annual stock grants.
