Job summary

Sears Home Services is seeking an Appliance and Refrigeration Repair Technician to diagnose and repair home appliances at customers’ homes. You will travel to multiple locations, perform high-quality repairs, and ensure excellent customer service.

The role requires EPA certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to handle tools and follow procedures. A company vehicle, uniforms, and tech support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Type I or EPA Universal certification required.
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude; ability to use testing & repair tools.
• Experience repairing and diagnosing a variety of home appliances.
• Ability to follow directions and processes for quality workmanship.
• Ability to use a smartphone for parts ordering.
• Must pass background and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license for the work state.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Flexible work hours, including overtime.
• Ability to read and apply technical text.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer homes daily to diagnose and repair a variety of appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves).
• Deliver excellent customer experience consistently.
• Provide value-added solutions to keep homes clean, comfortable and protected.
• Keep company truck well-maintained and organized; manage parts efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
