Langdon Place of Dover is seeking an MNA or LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants, coordinating day-to-day activities. You will administer medications, monitor resident status, and collaborate with families and providers to ensure safe, responsive care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, current nursing assistant and Medication Aide certifications, CPR, and at least one year in healthcare or two years in medication-aide roles; LPN license

About the Role

We're looking for an MNA or LPN who combines strong clinical skills with compassion, communication, and teamwork. You'll provide direct nursing care while helping coordinate the day-to-day work of nursing assistants and other assigned team members.

From medications and treatments to monitoring resident status and collaborating with families and providers, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents receive safe, responsive care.

As an MNA, you'll work alongside our licensed nursing team to support safe medication administration and quality resident care.

You’ll administer permitted medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, accurately document medication administration, observe residents for changes or reactions, and communicate concerns promptly.

What You’ll Do

• Administer permitted medications in accordance with physician orders, applicable requirements, and facility procedures.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions.
• Accurately document medication administration.
• Follow written and verbal medication-management instructions.
• Obtain vital signs and complete permitted medication-related tasks.
• Maintain safe and secure medication storage.
• Stock medication carts and appropriately handle discontinued medications.
• Communicate resident concerns promptly to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with resident-care duties as assigned and within your role.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current nursing-assistant certification.
• Current Medication Aide certification.
• CPR certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or two years of medication-aide experience.

What You’ll Do As An LPN

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise assigned nursing assistants and support staff.
• Monitor resident status and promptly communicate significant changes.
• Administer medications and monitor residents for adverse reactions.
• Perform wound care, treatments, and nursing procedures within scope of practice.
• Accurately carry out and document physician orders.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, rounds, and care planning.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and transportation needs.
• Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Support end-of-life care when needed.
• Promote teamwork, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current unrestricted LPN license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to organize priorities and remain composed in a changing healthcare environment.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.
