Job summary

ERCOT in Taylor, TX is seeking a GMS Application Engineer to design, test, validate, and implement MMS applications such as SCED, DAM, RUC, CRR, and QSE Training Simulator. You will work under the Grid & Market Solutions leadership to deliver reliable market software and support across multiple environments.

Required are a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS and 5+ years of related experience, with strong programming and database skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Required).
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Preferred).
• Experience with MMS applications such as SCED, DAM, RUC, CRR, QSE Training Simulator.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply principles related to MMS and ERCOT culture.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and work within defined procedures.
• Support on-call team for MMS issues and perform proactive enhancements.
