Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks an MMH Pharmacy Technician III for outpatient services. You will work with providers and pharmacists to coordinate MMH prescriptions, support enrollment, and ensure accurate dispensing while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Role focuses on building relationships with patients and clinic teams, using EMR data for reconciliation, and upholding hospital safety and regulatory requirements in a dynamic outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or state equivalency.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification (CPT) from PTCB or exCPT is required.

Responsibilities

• Present and available within assigned area to capture/support MMH patient prescription requests/needs.
• Collaborate with patients and health care providers to identify referred MMH patients and pursue enrollment opportunities.
• Coordinate prescriptions to be sent into BMC outpatient pharmacy for MMH patients and ensure proper adjudication and filling for dispensing to patients.
• Follow MMH workflow for enrollment requests and delivery of medications to enrolled patients.
• Maintain professional, positive interaction with patients/providers, applying AIDET principles.
