Job summary

Qorvo in Richardson, TX is seeking an mm-Wave/RF System & Design Engineering Intern to assist with design and characterization of advanced RF and mm-wave systems. You will perform 3D modeling, electromagnetic and thermal analysis, schematic generation and simulation, plus lab measurements and data reporting in a fast-paced team.

Preferred: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering; familiarity with RF design, RFIC/MMIC basics, and experience with Keysight ADS/EMPro, Ansys HFSS/Workbench, and Cadence;

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Si and III/V technologies, RFIC and MMIC design and advance packaging fundamentals
  • Student must have completed some RF or Microwave design course work
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
  • Software exposure: Keysight ADS and EMPro, Ansys HFSS and Workbench, Cadence
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Self-Starter with good communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
  • Be able to enjoy working in fast paced work environment

Qorvo’s mm-wave/RF System & Design Engineering Interns are offered in our High Performance Analog business group, System & Research team. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.

Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
