Job summary

Creative Food Ingredients, Inc. is seeking a dedicated sanitation/maintenance worker responsible for general cleaning duties across cafeterias, restrooms, locker rooms, laundry, and office areas.

The role requires following sanitation procedures, documenting activities, and occasionally assisting production as directed by the supervisor. You will be part of the Blood-Borne Pathogen team and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, wipe, vacuum, and do laundry as part of general cleaning.
• Follow set sanitation procedures and document accordingly.
• May fill in for other sanitation personnel during vacations or absences.
• Assist in production when requested by supervisor.
• Be a member of Blood-Borne Pathogen team.
• Read instructions and follow safety procedures/MSDS when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, restrooms, lockers, and storage areas; restock supplies.
• Weekly inspection of rodent traps.

Description

Position Overview:

Responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of cafeterias, all restrooms, locker rooms, laundry room, office area and any other areas as directed by supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• General cleaning duties: This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, washing, wiping off, hosing down, use of compressed air, vacuuming, and laundry.
• Ability to follow set sanitation procedures, schedules and document accordingly.
• May be required to fill in for other sanitation personnel due to vacations, absences, etc.
• May be required to assist in production whenever requested by supervisor.
• Will be required to be a member of Blood-Bourne Pathogen team.
• Ability to read instructions and follow all safety procedures/MSDS Sheets when working with cleaning chemicals.
• Other duties include; cleaning sinks throughout facility, collecting/dumping garbage from restrooms and offices, restocking soap and paper towel dispensers and weekly cleaning of wash pits.
• Weekly inspection of rodent traps
• Responsible for cleanliness of all areas of the kitchen and disposal of trash.
• Keeps storage shelves and stockrooms clean, organized with items properly stored and rotated when deliveries are made.

Non Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain a safe work environment and adheres to all company safety policies.
• Assist with various odd/end jobs as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
• Daily interaction with all departments within the company.
