Wound Care Nurse Manager – Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) - $20,000 sign-on bonus ($5,000 payable every six months, less taxes) - Immediate Opportunity

RiverSpring Health Plans serves over 18,000 frail and disabled individuals, empowering them to live independently in their homes for as long as possible.

As the Wound Care Nurse Manager, you will evaluate, teach, and train staff, members, and their families on effective wound care management. You will collaborate with physicians and the Chief Medical Officer to develop treatment plans for members with active wounds, following current wound care protocols. Your role will also involve monitoring the effectiveness of treatment plans and providing follow-up, direction, and instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized wound care treatment plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Conduct educational in-services for staff and families as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards.
Qualifications
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Current Wound Care Certification
  • Experience in staff development or adult instruction, and/or home care preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Willingness to travel to Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk County.
Compensation
  • Annual salary: $110,000 - $125,000
  • Eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus ($5,000 payable every six months, less taxes)
