An established industry player is seeking a dedicated clinical laboratory professional to perform essential testing in various sections, including Blood Bank and Microbiology. This role emphasizes accuracy and quality control while managing clerical and phlebotomy duties. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards and assist in training new staff. Performs clinical testing in assigned sections such as general laboratory, Blood Bank, and Microbiology, ensuring accurate and timely results through quality control, performance improvement, proficiency testing, and equipment maintenance. Recognizes abnormal critical values and follows proper notification protocols. Handles clerical, general, and phlebotomy duties related to daily laboratory operations. Provides and dispenses blood products as requested by medical staff.
Associate's Degree or higher in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent training per CLIA regulations. Alternatively, military medical laboratory training or specific coursework with laboratory training are acceptable.
No experience required for graduates of accredited training programs. Six months of approved clinical laboratory experience including rotations in key laboratory sections is also acceptable.
State licensure in Louisiana required. New graduates must be Board Certified or eligible within one year of hire (Louisiana excluded).
PRN, Per Diem as Needed.
