Overview:

The Medical Laboratory Technician I is part of the provider care team, assisting with diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions through technical and scientific skills. This role is responsible for performing laboratory tests accurately, precisely, and timely. The technician evaluates and reports test results, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the quality of a World Class Laboratory. Excellent customer service aligned with Mercy Signature Service is required in all interactions. Duties are performed in accordance with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in a field meeting accreditation standards
• Experience: 1 year of acceptable clinical laboratory experience
• Preferred Education: Associate degree in chemistry, biology, or related science meeting certification requirements
• Preferred Certifications: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent
