Job summary

McFarland Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for our Ames (CyTown) office. The role involves performing CLIA-certified laboratory tests under supervision, contributing to accurate patient results and supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and eligibility for MLT (ASCP) certification, plus at least one year of hospital or clinic experience. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, on-site.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• Certification, or eligibility for certification, as MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital or clinic setting as an MLT.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are required.
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Days: Monday - Friday, On-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests classified under CLIA-88 as highly complex, moderately complex, or waived, in all sections of the laboratory under minimal supervision.
