Qualifications

• Associate degree or military lab training in clinical laboratory science.
• Must be judged competent by the Lab Director.
• Preferred: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all levels of general testing within the analytical laboratory.
• Generates and reports results used for accurate diagnoses and prognoses.
• Ensures accurate, timely result reporting and documents critical results.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments.
• Receives specimens, assesses priority, and ensures proper identification.
• Completes QC and maintenance, documents deviations and corrective actions.
