Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville's core laboratory seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform testing across chemistry, hematology, blood bank and microbiology in a fast-paced, automated setting.

Bachelor or associate degree required; must obtain certification within one year. Prior high-complexity experience preferred; sign-on bonus available for experienced hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent required.
• Must become certified within one year of hire.
• Previous work experience in high complexity testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Operate automated analyzers and quality control.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate results.

This fast-paced, busy automated Laboratory has the capacity to perform a full range of tests while maintaining a short turnaround time for our patients. The Medical Laboratory Scientistperform testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.
