Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center seeks a Program Coordinator for the Medical Laboratory Science MLS program within the laboratory. The role supervises the MLS program, coordinates activities, and supports accreditation efforts under the Systems Director of Laboratory Operations.

The position requires a strong Bachelor’s level education in laboratory science, AMA-approved training, and MT(ASCP) certification, with excellent communication and supervisory qualifications ongoing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory/medical technology or related field.
• AMA approved laboratory training program and MT(ASCP) certification.
• Qualified or could qualify as general supervisor under 42 CFR 493.1427.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate MLS program activities within the laboratory.
• Develop, plan, organize and lead MLS program operations and accreditation.
• Staff, manage and supervise program activities as delegated by the Systems Director of Laboratory Operations.
