Job summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist in Chapel Hill to support the clinical laboratory team with CLIA-defined testing and advanced procedures.

You will work independently as a technical resource and handle Blood Bank responsibilities including Type & Screen, Antibody ID, DAT, eluates, phenotyping and antigen typing. Experience with MTP, emergency release, irradiation and product modifications is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science.
• ASCP or AMT certification required/certified.
• Strong Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine experience.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA-defined testing and advanced procedures.
• Maintain QC, proficiency testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Blood Bank duties: Type & Screen, Antibody ID, DAT, eluates, phenotyping, antigen typing.
• Train new employees and teach students.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements.
