Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required with science coursework.
• MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA) or MT (AMT) certification.
• Three years of experience at medical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist level.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data to evaluate products, procedures, processes and laboratory needs.
• Consults with healthcare providers regarding patient care and program issues.
• Ensures regulatory compliance; establishes and reviews procedures and policies.
• May monitor personnel performance and contribute to evaluations.
• May input into budgetary processes by identifying capital equipment needs.
• May teach Clinical Laboratory Science students and residents.
• Monitors daily operation of the laboratory or program.
• Reviews patient testing results, quality control, maintenance and reports.
