Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, deploy, and operate production-grade ML and Generative AI solutions in a regulated enterprise context. This role focuses on transforming validated models into scalable, governed systems, working with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps, or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong Python development skills and proficiency with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Own the end-to-end ML production lifecycle (data ingestion, features, deployment, monitoring).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize MLOps pipelines using Azure Databricks, MLflow, Unity Catalog, CI/CD.
• Implement scalable model-serving architectures (real-time APIs, batch inference, feature stores).
• Convert experiments and notebooks into production-ready software.
• Collaborate with data engineering to meet performance and quality requirements.
• Establish model versioning, reproducibility, deployment automation, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Build and manage online and batch model-serving endpoints and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI standards.
• Communicate technical decisions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
