Job summary

Slalom seeks an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, deploy, and operate production-grade machine learning and Generative AI solutions in a highly regulated enterprise environment. This hands-on role focuses on transforming validated models into scalable, governed systems that drive critical business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MLOps, model deployment, Azure Databricks, and cloud-native platforms, collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps, or related software roles.
• Strong Python and ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience deploying APIs and microservices (FastAPI, Flask, MLflow Model Serving).
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Feature Store.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; Git-based workflows.
• Containerization with Docker; familiarity with Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, deployment, monitoring.
• Develop and optimize MLOps pipelines using Azure Databricks, MLflow, Unity Catalog.
• Implement scalable model-serving architectures: real-time APIs and batch pipelines.
• Translate prototyping work into maintainable, production-ready software.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and quality.
• Ensure governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI standards.
