Job summary

Kensho, S&P Global’s AI hub, seeks an MLOps Engineer to advance the ML platform and tooling across teams in Cambridge, MA. You will collaborate with ML engineers to streamline workflows, improve observability, and accelerate production readiness of agents and models.

You’ll work at the intersection of infrastructure and ML, contributing to open‑source tools and ensuring scalable, robust production systems. Strong Python skills and a curiosity‑driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in ML infra, ML Ops, ML Engineering or similar
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Cloud Platform (AWS) understanding, incl. EKS and SageMaker/Bedrock
• Python proficiency in a predominantly Python shop
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks and workflow orchestration (Ray, Airflow) is a plus
• Strong software engineering practices in an ML context
• Knowledge of ML concepts, LLMs and agents
• Ability to debug distributed systems across infra, networking and apps
• Excellent communication to drive tool adoption across teams
• Curious, driven, low-ego and eager to learn across engineering disciplines

Responsibilities

• Iterate on Kensho’s ML processes to develop tools, services, and frameworks
• Collaborate with ML engineers to identify pain points and provide solutions
• Provide stable tooling to rapidly experiment and mature research into prototypes
• Evaluate and champion open source and third‑party solutions across teams
• Ship scalable, automated processes for model fine‑tuning and RL/LLM evaluation
• Improve LLM and Agentic observability for production monitoring
• Stay at the frontier by tracking new tools and promoting best practices
