Job summary

Urban Dove Team Charter School is seeking a devoted MLL and Literacy Teacher to support multilingual learners and students reading below grade level. You will deliver differentiated instruction through push-in and pull-out formats, work with co-teachers, and administer NYS assessments to inform curriculum.

The role requires a Master’s Degree (Education/TESOL/Literacy) and at least 5 years of teaching experience, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, TESOL, Literacy, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience focusing on literacy/ELL.
• Leadership roles within an educational setting and staff development.
• Proficiency with NYSESLAT and LAB-R assessments and accommodations.
• TESOL certification and bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach five 55-minute classes in push-in or pull-out formats.
• Collaborate in an Inclusive Co-Teaching (ICT) environment.
• Plan and deliver rigorous instruction for MLL and below-3rd-grade reading levels.
• Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress with data.
• Attend IEP meetings and support related reports and data.
• Maintain organized data systems and collaborate with specialists.
