Job summary

Urban Dove Team Charter Schools seeks a passionate MLL and Literacy Teacher to support multilingual learners and students reading below grade level through push-in and pull-out instruction. You will develop differentiated lessons, administer NYS assessments, and collaborate with ICT teams to promote inclusive literacy across content areas.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Education or TESOL, with at least five years of literacy/ELL experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to culturally

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, TESOL, Literacy or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience focused on literacy and/or English Language Learners (ELL).
• Experience leading teams and professional development of staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach five 55-minute classes (push-in or pull-out).
• Collaborate in an Inclusive Co-Teaching (ICT) environment.
• Plan and deliver differentiated literacy instruction for MLL/below grade level readers.
• Administer NYS assessments (NYSESLAT, LAB-R) and use data to drive curriculum.
• Maintain organized records of MLL progress and interventions.
• Attend IEP meetings and support IEP goals.
• Foster inclusive, culturally responsive classroom community.
