Job summary

The Gates Foundation in Seattle seeks a leader for the Data & AI Enablement Hub's measurement, learning, and evaluation (MLE) function. You will design robust evaluation, build dashboards, and apply AI-assisted analytics to inform grant investments and strategy, ensuring equity is central to analysis.

You will collaborate with program teams and external partners, driving insights across portfolios and advancing evidence-based decision-making across the foundation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in education research, public policy, economics, statistics, or related field.
• Experience in measurement, learning, and evaluation within complex programs, including evaluation design and impact analysis.
• Ability to translate findings into narratives and visualizations for senior leadership and external partners.
• Experience building interactive data dashboards and applying AI-assisted tools.
• Experience managing external evaluation partnerships and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Define and track strategy and portfolio progress through evaluation design and indicators.
• Design and build interactive dashboards to visualize progress for leadership and teams.
• Develop impact accounting frameworks and cost-effectiveness approaches.
• Synthesize findings from evaluations to inform strategy and planning.
• Support portfolios with evaluation design and hypothesis testing.
• Coordinate with program officers, grantees, and partners to ensure data for measurement.
