The Gates Foundation in Seattle seeks a leader for the Data & AI Enablement Hub's measurement, learning, and evaluation (MLE) function. The Data & AI team works to unlock the full potential of data and artificial intelligence to improve educational and economic outcomes. You are responsible for leading the Data & AI team’s measurement, learning, and evaluation (MLE) function as a core member of the Data & AI Enablement Hub. You define and track strategy and portfolio progress through rigorous evaluation design, impact accounting, and evidence synthesis-ensuring insights are actionable and continuously improve investment decisions across the team. You bring mastery-level expertise in MLE methods and applied tooling, including dashboard development, predictive modeling support, and AI-assisted analytics, with dedicated MLE support to the System Feedback Loops portfolio alongside team-wide responsibilities. This position is a limited-term position for 24 months. Relocation support can be provided depending on the circumstances.
The salary range for this role is $173,000 to $259,600 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $190,300 to $285,500 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hires salaries are typically between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
