Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Design Verification Engineer to join the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team. In Austin, TX, you will validate hardware and software solutions, contribute to verification plans, and help measure progress toward ambitious customer metrics.

You will work with SystemVerilog/UVM, testbench development, and scripting in Python/Perl, collaborating across teams to ensure reliable cloud server platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE/SE/EE or related field.
• 3+ years of design verification using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• 3+ years of testbench development with stimulus, checkers, assertions and coverage.

About this role

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries. We are seeking an experienced Design Verification Engineer to build the next generation of our cloud server platforms. The role is part of the Cloud‑Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team at AWS, responsible for the design and validation of machine learning hardware in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify/validate that hardware and software solutions achieve desired functionality.
• Develop and execute multi‑faceted verification/validation plans.
• Measure team progress toward ambitious customer metrics.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of design verification experience using System Verilog and UVM.
• 3+ years of testbench development experience, including stimulus, checkers, assertions, and coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience verifying at multiple logic levels from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing.
• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• Experience with multiple verification platforms.
• Experience with C/C++ and object‑oriented programming.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range for this position is:

• USA, CA, Cupertino: \$157,300.00 – \$212,800.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Austin: \$136,000.00 – \$184,000.00 USD annually

Your package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
