Job summary

Revolution Medicines is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist II to accelerate drug discovery through advanced analytics and AI. This hands-on role develops predictive models transforming chemical and biological data into actionable insights for research teams.

Collaborate with data scientists, medicinal chemists, and biologists to translate questions into analyses, validate models, and integrate analytics into discovery pipelines. Strong ML foundations and teamwork required.

Qualifications

• PhD in machine learning, computational biology, computational chemistry, computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, or related field; or MS with relevant industry experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience applying ML to scientific datasets; doctoral research may count.
• Experience developing, validating, and evaluating predictive or classification models.
• Strong Python programming and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy).
• Hands-on familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with data visualization and working with noisy experimental data.
• Ability to communicate technical work clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate ML models to answer drug discovery questions.
• Collaborate with chemistry and biology teams to translate scientific questions into analyses.
• Create reusable workflows and contribute to data-driven discovery pipelines.
• Document methods, code, results, and assumptions for reproducibility.
• Communicate findings and implications to non-technical stakeholders.
