TikTok USDS Joint Venture invites a Machine Learning Engineer - AI Safety to join the Data Governance and Assurance Engineering team. You will design guardrails and ensure the integrity of TikTok’s GPAI and recommendation pipelines, building high-performance engines for real-time auditing and risk mitigation.

You will implement governance‑as‑code, low‑latency safety filters, and observability to trace, audit, and enforce safety and compliance across production AI systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, ML or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of production software development experience (Go, Python, or C++).
• Experience with distributed data pipelines and ML data tooling (Spark/Flink/Kafka).
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and ML.

Aufgaben

• Automated Safety Evaluation: design and scale high-throughput evaluation engines for LLMs and recommendations.
• Adversarial Robustness: build monitoring to identify vulnerabilities in model behavior.
• Governance-as-Code: architect metadata frameworks for ML pipelines with safety constraints.
• Real-time Mitigation: develop low-latency safety filters for ms-level intervention.
• Observability & Lineage: create platforms for real-time observability and auditable decisions.
