Job summary

Apple is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Research Engineer to design and apply state-of-the-art research in data-centric machine learning for multimodal foundation models. You will build data curation and annotation frameworks and explore scalable training recipes while benchmarking progress of foundation models.

The role requires hands-on research with Python, PyTorch or Jax, and a strong background in CV, NLP, and ML.

Qualifications

• BS and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in computer vision, NLP, and ML with a data-centric focus.
• Deep understanding of multi-modal foundation models.
• Knowledge of generative AI trends and multi-modal LLMs.
• Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch or Jax.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply state-of-the-art ML research for data-centric problems.
• Develop data selection, curation, and annotation framework for multimodal foundation models.
