PayJoy, Inc. is seeking an ML Platform Director to lead a team of ML and software engineers responsible for the end-to-end ML ecosystem. You will define the roadmap for ML infrastructure, model serving, and data products while ensuring security and global compliance.

You will bridge business strategy with technical execution, empowering senior engineers to solve complex problems and scale production systems that impact millions of users across emerging markets.

Qualifications

• PhD or master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in Data Science or ML Engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale ML systems.
• Ability to translate business goals into actionable technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical roadmap for the ML platform, modeling and APIs infrastructure.
• Mentor and manage Staff and Senior ML Engineers; foster technical excellence.
• Bridge Data Science/ML and business stakeholders to align on requirements.
• Own long-term vision for ML infra, deployment, monitoring, and MLOps.
• Guide career growth and promote new technologies for scalable ML.
• Champion adoption of new technologies while maintaining reliability.
