Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead ML engineers focused on perception, robotics, agentic workflows, and the ML platform. You will hire, coach, and align TPMs and data/analytics teams to deliver scalable ML solutions in an industrial plant setting.

You’ll shape technical direction, ensure high-quality software, and drive the production lifecycle from training to deployment while maintaining safety and reliability in operation-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in machine learning engineering, including people leadership.
• Hands-on track record shipping ML systems to production across CV/ robotics/ embedded ML/ MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ML engineers across perception, robotics, agentic workflows, and ML platform.
• Translate product priorities into scoped engineering work and commit to delivery.
• Own the ML platform, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring as a reusable product for the org.
• Guide data collection, model evaluation, safety, and deployment in plant environments.
• Oversee LLM and agentic tool evaluation, guardrails, cost, latency, and when to use an agent vs traditional software.
