Job summary

Elder Research seeks a motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our Chantilly, VA team. The role focuses on building and deploying AI agents, automating workflows, and enabling human workers to unlock new capabilities.

Candidates should have a TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, and strong Python/SQL skills. Familiarity with Rest/FastAPI, Langchain, and agentic AI workflows is required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI polygraph.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with developing & managing API endpoints (Rest and FastAPI).
• Familiarity with developing agenticAI workflows/systems.
• Langchain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents, Pydontic.
• UVicorn (webserver).

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents to automate and optimize workflows.
• Create software to support AI agent communication via APIs and testing.
• Utilize open-source models and proprietary AI tools for agentic systems.
• Develop approaches to secure agentic workflows and evaluate results.
• Ensure AI systems adhere to ethics, transparency, and fairness.
