Job summary

Elder Research, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on building and deploying AI agents, enabling automated workflows and advanced analytics.

You will work with LangChain, OpenAI Agents, FastAPI, and NLP techniques to deliver secure, transparent AI solutions for government and commercial clients. A TS/SCI + CI Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with API endpoints (REST and FastAPI).
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents and Pydantic.
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Experience building agentic AI workflows and NLP tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents to automate and optimize workflows.
• Support R&D and customer goals, accelerating transition of research into contracts.
• Create software to enable AI agent communication and API integrations.
• Use open-source and proprietary models for agentic AI tasks.
• Develop methods to secure and evaluate agentic workflows for accuracy and impact.
• Ensure AI systems follow ethical, transparent, and fair guidelines.
• Work with NLP tasks like entity extraction, summarization, and semantic search.
