Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. As an ML Intern in San Francisco, you will bridge AI research and real-world actuation for autonomous transport platforms, working with senior engineers on production-grade models and edge pipelines.

You will prototype, evaluate, and test models for trajectory planning, integrating cameras, LiDAR, and radar data to improve perception. This role demands Python, PyTorch/JAX, and a passion for solving hard, real-world problems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in CS, Robotics, EE, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong foundation in deep learning and experience with PyTorch or JAX.
• Hands-on Python programming; familiarity with C++ is a plus.
• Experience in Computer Vision, Spatial-Temporal Modeling, RL, or Data Engineering.
• Familiar with robotics data structures or multi-sensor processing (Cameras, LiDAR, Radar).
• Passion for solving complex, real-world engineering problems and deploying AI on physical systems.

Responsabilités

• Bridge AI research and real-world actuation for autonomous platforms.
• Contribute to production-grade models and edge pipelines.
• Prototype and test ML models for trajectory planning and behavior.
• Develop world models and simulation tools for re-simulating driving logs.
• Profile and optimize inference for low-latency edge devices.
• Collaborate with validation and QA for model releases in simulations.
