Robinhood is seeking a machine learning engineer to shape the future of its core platforms, products, and customer experiences from Bellevue, WA. You will work on transformer-based models, ranking and recommendation systems, and reinforcement learning in a fast-paced fintech setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, production-ready ML tooling, rigorous experimentation, and clear documentation, with in-person attendance three days a week in Bellevue.

Qualifications

• Productionisation of ML models with focus on recommendations, ranking, or personalization
• Model development with classical ML techniques for tabular data
• Model development with modern ML techniques for sequential data
• Hands‑on experience with architectural frameworks of large distributed ML applications
• Produce robust business outcomes through AB testing and rigorous statistical analysis
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, XGBoost, PyTorch or TensorFlow to carry out production ready projects
• Spark, Kafka, or Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• AI and ML Research: Evaluate cutting-edge transformer-based models and large foundational models to address Robinhood problems
• Model Development: Develop scalable ML models focusing on ranking and recommendations, and apply learning-to-rank techniques
• A/B Testing: Design and run tests to compare model performance and analyze results
• Data Analysis: Extract insights from experiments using robust statistical methods
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data science, and marketing teams to ship models
• Tooling & Documentation: Build reusable ML libraries and document experiments and findings
• Telecommuting permitted.
