Job summary

Clera in San Francisco, CA seeks a machine learning engineer to design, train, and deploy production ML systems for our recruitment technology product. You will work with product and engineering teams to turn business requirements into scalable ML solutions.

You’ll own end-to-end pipelines, monitor models in production, and contribute to ML infrastructure. A 3+ year background and Python proficiency with TensorFlow/PyTorch/scikit-learn are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional ML or software engineering experience.
• Experience building and deploying production ML systems.
• Completed degree and understanding of model selection, metrics, features, validation.
• Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with production ML pipelines (preprocessing, serving, monitoring).
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and cloud platforms like AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI.
• Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
• Startup or fast-moving product environment; ability to prioritize under ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate ML models for production use cases.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines covering data preprocessing, model serving, and monitoring.
• Work with product and engineering partners to turn business requirements into ML solutions.
• Debug and improve production model performance using monitoring and real-world feedback.
• Write maintainable code and contribute to ML infrastructure and tooling.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with teammates.
