Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an ML Engineer to push model-based autonomous driving, focusing on core driving performance and feature-level intelligence such as personalization, comfort, and collaboration.

You will design and deliver ML-driven behaviors that scale from assisted to autonomous driving, covering model architecture, data pipelines, evaluation, and real-world deployment, collaborating with AI Platform, Simulation, Robot SW and Model Release teams.

Qualifications

• Shipping deep learning systems to production.
• Expert in deep learning (sequential models, control, planning, or perception).
• Proficient in Python, C++, CUDA, and ML frameworks (PyTorch).
• Experience with real-time systems or robotics, with simulation or vehicle-in-the-loop components.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end driving models with robust performance.
• Lead projects on personalization and collaboration driving.
• Build evaluation pipelines and metrics for driving performance.
• Curate real-world and synthetic data for diverse scenarios.
• Influence architecture choices and deployment pathways.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure integration and velocity.
• Mentor senior engineers and shape direction across Autonomy.
