Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for the AI Platform team in Pleasanton to build tailored experiences using advanced Agentic AI, LLMs, and RAG. You’ll collaborate with engineers to deliver ML models and APIs at scale using Docker/Kubernetes and cloud resources.

You will design, deploy, and monitor ML pipelines, focusing on HR and finance text data, while keeping systems scalable and observable. Strong Python, ML engineering, and cross‑functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in engineering, CS, physics, math, or equivalent.
• 3+ years building ML products at scale including production deployment.
• 3+ years for ETL pipelines and inference services with LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Own exploration, design and implementation of ML features for platforms and services.
• Be responsible for evaluation, scalability, and observability of features.
• Apply ML techniques including LLMs and NLP to HR/Finance text data and design cloud ML architectures.
• Stay updated with AI advances to drive innovation.
