Job summary

Waymo is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and operate Waymo's data infrastructure platform. You will enable plant-scale ML Flywheel across all ML models via data store and data infra, coordinating with onboarding and offboarding teams to align data needs, quality, and freshness.

You will improve storage efficiency and deploy data solutions for distillation, evaluation, dataset generation, active learning, and auto-labeling across Waymo ML models.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Experience programming in C++.
• Experience with building highly scalable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to Waymo's data infrastructure platform.
• Work with onboard & offboard ML teams to understand data needs, distributions, quality and freshness and onboard flywheels onto the planet-scale data store.
• Improve efficiency of data storage and data sharing across models.
• Deploy data solutions across use cases such as distillation, eval, dataset generation, active learning, and auto-labeling across Waymo ML models.
